Tracking Legal Changes & Portal Activity via the Inbox

Stay up to date with critical legal updates, task assignments, and team collaboration changes using the Inbox feature in VirgilHR.


Accessing the Inbox

  1. Navigate to any page on the portal.
  2. Locate the Inbox icon in the top-right corner, next to the Profile Settings button.
  3. If there are unread items, a red notification mark will appear on the icon.
  4. Click the Inbox icon to open it.

Understanding the Inbox Sections

The Inbox is divided into two main sections:

  • Announcements

    • Contains important HR-related legal announcements.
  • Notifications

    • Includes updates on:
      • Tasks (assignments, status changes).
      • Handbook collaboration updates.
      • Team changes (new members, role updates).

Switching Between Sections

  • Click the Announcements or Notifications tab at the top of the Inbox to toggle between sections.


Filtering Inbox Items

To refine your view:

  • Toggle Show Only Unread at the top of the Inbox:

    • Enabled → Displays only unread items.
    • Disabled → Shows both read and unread items.
  • Click on an Inbox item to view details or take further action.

📌 Once all unread items are opened, the red mark on the Inbox icon will disappear.
